As "buying cars and giving away piles" gradually becomes history
Many car owners need to buy their own home charging posts
Compared with the original charging pile that is "small and expensive"
Everyone began to focus on
For example, on third-party brands such as Star Charging
But new problems come along
For charging power only
There are three options: 7kW, 11kW and 21kW
So, do you know which car is suitable for you?
Today, let's teach you
How to select a suitable household charging pile~
01
Look at the car first
The charging power determines the charging speed, but different new energy vehicles support different charging power. Therefore, when choosing a household charging post, you should first have a general understanding of your car. Generally speaking, our new energy vehicles often have two charging interfaces, one is the AC charging interface (seven holes), and the other is the DC charging interface (nine holes). The home charging pile here mainly refers to the AC charging pile.
Its charging process is also very simple, that is, the AC power in the power grid is input into the vehicle charger at the vehicle end through the new energy charging pile, and is converted into the DC power required by the power battery through the vehicle charger. Therefore, the maximum charging power that new energy vehicles can accept is not determined by the power at the pile end, but is limited by the specifications of the on-board charger.
Specifically, there are two types of civil electricity in China: single-phase 220V and three-phase 380V. The current recommended by the national standard is 10A/16A/32A/63A, and the single-phase charging and current shall not exceed 32A. Therefore, the maximum charging power of 220V single-phase electricity is about 7kW (220V × 32A), while the minimum charging power of three-phase electricity is about 11kW (220V × 16A × 3). If the on-board charger only supports single-phase electricity, even if an 11kW charging pile is installed, only about 3kW charging power (220V × 16A) can be obtained, but it is not as fast as the 7kW charging pile.
02
Reselection pile
After understanding the difference between the car end and the pile end, it is easy to understand. Different specifications of on-board charger will adapt to different voltage platforms. For the charging power of 7kW, apply for a 220V ammeter. For charging power of 11kW and above, 380V meters need to be installed.
However, due to the capacitance problem, not every community supports the application of 380V meters. It needs to communicate with the local power supply bureau and the community property for confirmation in advance. Because of this, if conditions permit, we recommend you to apply for 380V meters first~
Seeing this, I must be puzzled: "Didn't you just say that if the vehicle charger only supports single-phase power, it can only get 3.5kW power with 11kW? How can you recommend to apply for a 380V meter?"
In fact, the reason is very simple. Although the minimum charging power of three-phase electricity is 11kW, which can only be compatible with 3.5kW, the maximum can reach 21kW (220V × 32A × 3), which can be compatible with 11kW, 7kW and 3.5kW in the downward direction. It is basically suitable for all national standard vehicles on the market.

So choose
Of course, in addition to choosing the right power, the brand of charging piles is also very important when purchasing third-party charging piles. A good brand means better product quality, more intelligent product functions, and better after-sales service. Do not blindly pursue "low price" and ignore the hidden dangers behind it.
It is suggested to choose a third-party brand with independent R&D and production capacity and perfect after-sales security system. At the same time, even if the power is the same, the charging piles of third-party brands are different in terms of function and quality.
